Today’s exercise is to write a personal statement. Your personal statement should encompass a number of things: your values, your goals (can be either short-term or long-term goals), and what you want to become. Your mission statement should evolve & change as you grow & also accomplish your goals.
This exercise is a new one for me. I’ve made goals, had an idea of who Jubi is a person, but I’ve never sat down & written a personal mission statement. So this required some introspection & thought. I looked at my Reset 10, my affirmation/mantra & then began to write. I wrote & rewrote for about 30 mins, and finally came up with something I liked, that felt authentic.
Here’s what I came up with. My mission statement:
I value my personal freedom, creativity, intelligence and loyalty. I am committed to working hard to make my goals & dreams come true. While I do strive towards the future, I live in the Now, and find joy & happiness in every day. I release my past & all associated fear & guilt. I attract love, success, prosperity, good health and happiness. As I enter the next phase of my life, I embrace & incorporate entrepreneurship, deeper personal relationships and more discipline into my life. I will continue to be open & receptive to new people & experiences, and not shy away out of fear. Each day I will be the best I can be, and give all that I can to everything that I do.
I’m happy with that 🙂
