Today’s exercise has 3 parts: reflect on the exercises so far, comment on the other challenges over on Happy Black Woman, and connect with other #31dayreset challengers.
I’ve already been commenting over on Happy Black Woman, so that part’s done. I’ve also been tweeting with other challengers. And I found out several friends are also doing the challenge, so we’ve been comparing notes. So now, I just need to give my reflections.
The most important thing I’ve learned about myself is that I’ve thought about some of these topics already, but I needed a way to get myself to the next level. LoA gave me a lot of lessons, but it didn’t get me from Point A to Point J, and I see already that this challenge is connecting the dots for me. I can finally see how I can go from an idea to really making it happen. This challenge has helped me clarify what’s most important & focus on those things.
My favorite exercises were the personal mantra & the life map. I’m really into affirmations so I liked starting out with some positivity tailored just for me. I’m also action-oriented, so the life map helped me put actions down & organize them in a concise, eye-catching way.
I struggled the most with rating how I’m fulfilling my values & coming up with actions I’m doing or should be doing to fulfill each value. I saw some places in my life where I said something was important to me, but I wasn’t fully living it. I have to personify the things that are important to me & put them out there.
