Is it November yet?

I’m TIRED. T-I-R-E-D.

I don’t want to see no more election coverage. No more talk of delegates, caucuses, primaries, conventions, voters, issues, campaigns, debates, controversies, none of that.

I am DONE DONE DONE with it all.

This has been going on for 2 years – 2 FREAKIN YEARS! How sick is that? We couldn’t even finish the damn midterm elections before folks were talking about presidential candidates and fundraisers and polls and whatnot. We didn’t get a break from elections at all.

It seems like it hasn’t always been that way, but maybe it didn’t seem like that because I was a kid and then a college student immersed in my own life. Between 2002 and 2004 I don’t remember there being so much election talk. It could also be because this is the first time in a long time that there isn’t an incumbent running for the office.

Granted, its a different kind of situation than what we’re used to…but does that mean that I have to be bombarded by election coverage 24/7? I don’t need real-time updates of what the candidates are doing. If they want to scratch their butt I shouldn’t hear about it on the news.

So I’m quitting the news until November. I just cannot handle any more election coverage. This is gonna be hard cause I’m a news junkie, so I’mma have to stick to local news and sitcoms in the morning….But I think I’mma have a nervous breakdown if I watch any more election coverage.

I feel exactly the same way. It sucks because I want to be informed, but they have taken it to a whole new level. They talk about the exact same things over and over and over. It is extremely annoying. I wonder if all this will continue after the democratic nominee is chosen?
